The Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) has released an official recruitment notification for 57 contractual vacancies under Medical, Paramedical, and Non-Medical categories. This recruitment drive is being conducted by ECHS Cell, Station Headquarters, Chennai.

Eligible candidates holding qualifications such as MD/MS/DNB, MBBS, Diploma, 12th, 10th, or 8th pass can apply through offline mode. The completed application form must reach the concerned office on or before 16 February 2026.

Eligibility Criteria (Post-Wise)

ECHS invites applications from Ex-Servicemen and eligible Civilians for contractual appointments at various ECHS Polyclinics from 01 April 2026 to 30 September 2026.

  • Medical Specialist / Gynaecologist: MD/MS/DNB with minimum 3 years’ experience after post-graduation

  • Radiologist: PG Degree/Diploma with required experience and DMC registration

  • Medical Officer: MBBS with minimum 3 years’ experience after internship

  • Lab Assistant: DMLT or Armed Forces Lab Technician Course with 5 years’ experience

  • Pharmacist: B.Pharmacy or Diploma in Pharmacy with 3 years’ experience

  • Radiographer / Physiotherapist: Diploma/Class-1 Armed Forces Course with 5 years’ experience

  • Dental Assistant: Diploma/Class-1 Dental Course with 3 years’ experience

  • Officer-in-Charge: Retired Defence Officer with minimum 5 years’ managerial/healthcare experience

  • Clerk / DEO: Graduate or Armed Forces Clerical Trade with 5 years’ experience

  • IT Network Technician: Diploma/Certificate in IT Networking with 2 years’ experience

  • Driver: 8th pass with valid LMV license and 5 years’ driving experience

  • Female Attendant / Safaiwala: Literate with 5 years’ experience

  • Chowkidar / Peon: 8th pass or Armed Forces GD Trade with required service experience

Salary Details

  • Medical Specialist / Radiologist / Gynaecologist: ₹1,30,000 per month

  • Medical Officer / Officer-in-Charge: ₹95,000 per month

  • Paramedical & IT Posts: ₹36,500 per month

  • Clerk / DEO: ₹29,200 per month

  • Driver: ₹25,600 per month

  • Attendant / Safaiwala / Chowkidar / Peon: ₹21,800 per month

(Part-time options available for select medical posts as per notification)

Age Limit (Maximum)

  • Specialists & Gynaecologist – 68 years

  • Medical Officer – 66 years

  • Officer-in-Charge – 63 years

  • Paramedical Staff – 56 years

  • Other Staff – 53 years
