 Job Profile & Service Conditions

1. Branch Postmaster (BPM)

Responsibilities:

• Handle day-to-day postal operations of the Branch Post Office (BO).

• Manage India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) services.

• Promote and market postal products and services.

• Operate Customer Service Centres (CSC).

• Ensure smooth mail delivery and office functioning.

• Perform ABPM duties when required.

• Complete any additional tasks assigned by postal authorities.

Residence Condition:

• BPM must arrange suitable accommodation for the Branch Post Office.

• Must reside in the same village where the BO is located.

• Accommodation must meet departmental standards.

• A declaration regarding accommodation is mandatory before engagement.

2. Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM)

Responsibilities:

• Sale of stamps and stationery.

• Doorstep mail delivery and mail exchange.

• Handle IPPB deposit and payment transactions.
